Min on Thursdays at 6:30PM CST, one hour long, offered in person only. Moderate to high intensity
Sia on Tuesdays at 7PM CST, 45 min long, in person only. Mild to moderate intensity
Description:
Our WERQ classes aren’t like any other! This fiercely fun class features a variety of dance styles from pop and jazz to hip hop and even a touch of burlesque, an upbeat and current playlist, and dance moves that will put you at the center of the stage. You're guaranteed a great workout without even knowing you're doing it, in a space that safe for all bodies to move and have fun!
Adaptations to movements are offered for different levels of mobility and desired intensity, and different styles of dance moves are offered as well. As a baseline, Min’s class is a higher intensity class, and Sia’s class is lower intensity. You'll have the opportunity to create your own adventure each week, and have a class perfectly suited for YOUR body!
About Min: Min, the instructor for the Thursday class, is caring and encouraging with her students, friendly, fun, and has the most contagious smile and positive energy! She'll lead you with a warm up to prepare your body, where you will also see a preview of moves to come in future songs on the playlist. The first two songs are low-impact, and then the intensity increases from medium to high. We dance through a few songs at high intensity, shaking, sweating, and smiling! Then the class concludes with a yoga-inspired cooldown. Min changes up her music regularly, with 2-3 new songs being offered each week.
About Sia: Sia can’t wait to see you in class! You come as yourself (or alter ego) and we’ll have fun, move our bodies, and get our sass on. Sia feeds off others’ awesome personalities and energy, so bring it!!! Class is open to all bodies, genders and abilities. Let’s dance!

We want to help you feel great and have fun moving and dancing in the body you have right NOW. Our classes are free from talk of diets, calories, or cosmetic benefits of movement. We focus on having fun, getting sweaty and getting your heart rate up if that's something you want to do, gaining new skills, and honoring our body as it shows up each day! We believe every BODY deserves access to joyful dance and movement.
