Welcome to our Class Descriptions Page!

Before you jump in, here’s how our class system works.

Our classes are tiered by difficulty level; (B) for Beginner, (B+) for All Levels, (I) for Intermediate, and (A) for Advanced.

We offer both dance technique classes, and cardio dance classes. Select which “track” you want, and then keep reading for details on the best place to begin!

Dance Technique Classes

If you’re looking for an opportunity to learn dance technique or choreography, we have three entry level classes:

  • Belly Dance Fundamentals

  • Burlesque Fundamentals

  • Adult Beginning Ballet

If you want to progress in any of these series, here’s the order we suggest after you have completed the above classes:

BELLY DANCE: you can now choose whether you’d like to focus on the raqs sharqi side of this art form, or whether you want to try the fusion styles. If you’d like to stick with raqs sharqi, the style primarily offered in the Belly Dance Fundamentals series, you can try Arielle’s intermediate class, Belly Dance Level Up. We also recommend Reenah and Ingrid’s Belly Dance Adventure series.

If you’d like to try the fusion styles, check out Lorien’s Transcultural Fusion class.

BURLESQUE: for those looking to perform, there is the Experimental Burlesque troupe. Performances are for our in house show, Inappropriate Song Night.

BALLET: At this time, we don’t have intermediate ballet options. Message us and request it if you’d like to see an intermediate class!

Cardio Dance Classes

We offer a variety of fitness classes for those looking to turn off their brains and do some sweating.

Our entry level fitness classes are Zumba and Livin’ Large Dance Party, and our most challenging fitness class for cardio is WERQ. The rest all fall somewhere in between! If you’re looking for strength training, try Dancerly Fitness or Ballet Fitness.

We have both branded fitness classes with names you’ll recognize, and our very own Dance Life creations. Most of our fitness classes either have Fitness in the title, or will be a branded class like Zumba or WERQ. Try one that sounds fun at the right intensity level for you, and begin anywhere you’d like!
